The following is a summary of the most common comments.

If I could improve only one thing about Pop’s Outlet, it would be (top 5 listed):

    • More Carts
    • We are limited in how many carts are available on any Saturday morning as many are in use in our factory. We will continue to do our best to keep emptying carts after folks have checked-out .

    • Additional check-out lines
    • This is an improvement  we are looking into.

    • More frequent openings
    • We limit the frequency of our openings to ensure we have a quality selection and quantity of art available each time. Opening more often, or having regularly scheduled openings, will result in a poorer selection.

    • Organizing the  art by theme/style
    • This is a great suggestion. In the early years of Pop’s Outlet, the quantity of art offered was small  by  comparison to the quantity available today. So, searching through all the totes was not difficult. Today, we have over 250 totes with art and mirrors, and to search through every one is not the fun “treasure hunt” of the past. We will undertake a plan to begin sorting the art into common themes and styles. This will take several “openings” to fully implement, but you should begin to see evidence of this change in the summer of 2011.

    • Announcing  the next Pop’s opening earlier.
    • The warehouse that is used to set-up and display the art and mirrors for Pop’s is in use, at all other times, as a staging point for the shipment of framed art to our customers. In addition to ensuring we have an adequate selection of art, we need to clear the warehouse of all freight . Given these two issues, it is unlikely we will have any better notification of the next opening than about 7 – 10 days.

One thing I would never change about Pop’s Outlet would be (top 5 listed):

    • Keeping the prices low and the variety high
    • If we were the kind of company that would have a “mission statement,”, this would be it.

    • Nothing
    • Well, okay, but maybe a couple of things.

    • “Cash Only” check-out
    • No change planned here.

    • Having your art loaded into your car for you
    • No change planned here.

    • The friendly staff
    • Thanks for all the kind comments about our folks. During the week, these same people are in our factory helping to design, produce, and ship our framed art. They have a  real sense of pride in seeing people so enthusiastic about the art they helped make.
